Ace of Spades by Motorhead

September 26, 2008

If you like to gamble, I tell you I’m your man
You win some, lose some, it’s all the same to me
The pleasure is to play, it makes no difference what you say
I don’t share your greed
The only card I need is
The Ace of Spades
The Ace of Spades

Playing for the high one, dicing with the devil
Going with the flow, it’s all a game to me
Seven or eleven, snake eyes watchin’ you
Double up or quit, double stakes or split
The Ace of Spades
The Ace of Spades

You know I’m born to lose, and gambling’s for fools
But that’s the way I like it baby, I don’t wanna live forever
And don’t forget the Joker

Pushing up the ante, I know you wanna see me
Read’em and weep, the dead man’s hand again
I see it in your eyes, take one look and die
The only thing you see, You know it’s gonna be
The Ace of Spades
The Ace of Spades

While waiting for my pictures to load on my Multiply, I always turn my playlist on so I can rock my head off. One of the songs that plays a prominent role in my recent works, specifically on the Naruto RP board I’m on, is the rocking hit “Ace of Spades” by Motorhead.

Motorhead’s been known to have cool riffs and lyrics, made more famous by the WWE’s Triple H and his “The Game” Entrance Music. I’m using the same song as my character’s theme music too.

Civil Service Commission - Subprofessional Exam Passers Ceremony Over.

Well, in my region anyways.

I wore pink, just in case my stalker wants to know.

The program started from 10-10:30 and ended right before lunch. Me, my mom and my grandpa headed straight for Gaisano Capital, specifically Greenwhich, to grab lunch. One giant pizza solved everything. Before that, I woke up two hours earlier than expected but began thinking I was late when the clock struck 9:45 and I was still drowsy. Luckily, when we arrived at the Capitol, where the ceremony was to take place, there were still vacant chairs around. So I waited like a patient puppy and went over my crappy speech.

Mr. Ferdinand Macogue, who was an officer at the Civil Service Commission Aklan Office and a smoking hot radio host (no sexual references please.), had told me days before, when I confirmed my existence, that I was required to give a short message. So for about a week, I got off the net, got on the caffeine overload bus, and started writing my speech. I actually had a long speech, a very long one, which tackled the economy, the government, American politics and even cosplaying but I rewrote it during the ceremony (I didn’t really pay any attention to the speakers) and it was condensed into three paragraphs. 4 or so days of hard work condensed into three paragraphs… Not bad.

The night before, I went to Gaisano Capital to buy me some new clothes. My relatives give me money each time I do something “excellent” so I didn’t get to spend my earnings. Passing the CSC Exam was excellent, according to them. I was on the neutral territory since I always get lucky with exams like these. I passed the UPCAT when I took it half drunk and the USTCAT when I was… uhh… let’s just I got reacquainted with a girl classmate the night before. My old high school professor says it wasn’t luck, I was just a genius. I snorted milk out of my nose upon hearing that.

A few hours before I posted this blog, me and my “familia” (including my cousins and their respective families… my wallet got burned.) ate at Mary’s Refreshment, a great restaurant if I say so myself, and had the grandest time. My nephew, Mico, who’s like 3 or 4 years old was also there. It was a fun dinner. I got my boys (my 3 cousins whose ages range from 6 years old to 3 years old) and we got crazy and had barrels of laughs.

Aside from the emotional gains, I also gained enough money to cruise for the next month. Smartbro payments? Solved!

Oh and Mr. Ferdinand Macogue, who also goes by his radio alias “Ferdz”, interviewed me right after the ceremonies. The said interview will air this Sunday morning. You won’t be able to hear it if you’re not in Aklan though.
